Sender Click Authorization for Contact Form 7
Browse help written and hosted by this website.
What does Sender Click Authorization verify?
For protected Contact Form 7 forms it holds a submission until the sender confirms access to the supplied email address. Unverified or expired requests are not delivered to the recipient. It verifies mailbox access, not the quality of every inquiry or a person’s identity. Administrators can inspect the pending queue and apply the documented exceptional Send Now action when appropriate.
What should I prepare before enabling sender verification?
Install Contact Form 7 first and verify the form fields and Mail tab. Use a site-owned From identity and normally put the visitor address in Reply-To. Confirm reliable WordPress mail delivery with a controlled inbox before rollout. Back up the site, record the form IDs, then install the purchased Sender Click Authorization ZIP through Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin.
Can I enable verification only on selected forms?
Yes. Choose all Contact Form 7 forms or selected form IDs. Public lead and quote forms may need verification while trusted authenticated workflows may not. Begin with a limited rollout and clearly explain any on-site confirmation followed by the emailed verification link. Do not tell visitors that the original inquiry has been delivered before it actually has.
Why has a form sender not received the verification email?
Check the entered address, spam folder, sender-domain blocking rules and the site mail-delivery configuration. Review the pending queue and lifecycle logs to distinguish Pending, Blocked, Expired and Delivery-failure outcomes. An administrator may use Send Now when justified, but repeated manual sends should not substitute for repairing verification delivery. Do not share submission contents or verification tokens publicly.
How should I configure IP, domain and Cloudflare abuse controls?
Review recurring abuse before blocking exact IPv4/IPv6 addresses or sender email domains; shared networks can affect unrelated visitors. Optional approximate geolocation is not identity proof and may be unavailable. Cloudflare automation requires your own eligible account and configuration. Protect any site-key REST integration as a secret, and keep a documented way to review and reverse mistaken rules.
Which privacy and launch checks matter for sender verification?
Set expiration and log retention, confirm hourly cleanup runs, and disclose the email, IP, optional approximate location and service processing you actually enable. Review the provided export and erasure integrations. Before launch, test held-before-confirmation delivery, one successful verification, expired/reused links, blocked domains and excluded forms with controlled mailboxes. DataCenter99 can scope setup and testing separately; no email test is performed simply by opening these answers.
